Justin Mechell has over 12 years of experience in the environmental field between working at Waid Environmental and his time at Texas Agrilife Extension Service. His experiences at Waid have included but are not limited to estimating emission rates; preparation of permits by rule, permit renewals and amendments, standard permit applications, emissions inventories, notices of intent, general construction, regulatory analysis, Title V permitting.
While at Texas Agrilife, Justin was responsible for writing and applying for competitive grants to support supervised team of employees and student workers. Developed engineering approaches to address water quantity and quality issues associated with the management of water and infrastructure. Justin also developed various guidance documents for professionals in the onsite wastewater treatment system and rainwater harvesting industry; managed various grants and projects related to onsite sewage facilities, agricultural occupational safety, water quality and quantity, organic and commercial nutrient management, small scale solar distillation, low pressure drip irrigation and rainwater harvesting.
