Robert W. Steaples
Robert Steaples has over 16 years of experience in the environmental field including performing engineering calculations for air quality permit preparation for various sources in the petroleum refining, petrochemical, hazardous waste disposal, electric generation and manufacturing facilities. Robert also has experience in managing design and implementation of web-based Environmental Management System. He has specified and installed data acquisition hardware to monitor paint usage in real time for a manufacturing facility, and has designed and implemented a software interface to maintain continuous compliance with recordkeeping requirements associated with coatings usage. In addition, Robert has experience conducting Leak Detection and Repair programs audits and has provided contractor oversight to ensure regulatory compliance with monitoring, recordkeeping and reporting requirements. He has also performed field surveys and environmental audits of chemical plants and gas processing facilities, and has prepared client proposals, including scope and cost estimates, for software design projects.
Currently, Robert is involved in integrating data management with emission estimation and reporting for coating operations, regulatory compliance calendar development, and Title V semiannual reporting for multiple sites. Focused on the use of sound data management techniques and system integration to facilitate accurate and timely emission calculations, reliable compliance assurance mechanisms, and workflow optimization. Robert has been with Waid Environmental since 2000.
